My Quebec Project: registration deadline
Since January 25, it is no longer possible to register on the new platform My Québec project. Within weeks, nearly 42,000 people have created an account to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate. Note that the Department of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion (MIDI) will only accept requests in 2800.
The next steps
Those who have had the chance to register have until February 15, 2016 to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) online. From 16 February to 31 March 2016, applications may be submitted and the fees paid.
This new platform developed this year was quickly saturated. The web portal could in fact accommodate 150 people connected at once. Many candidates were never able registration and immigration dream is gone.
Those who were unable to registration will have to wait for February 18, 2016 to do so. However they will have to wait until next year and the opening of new quotas to submit their CSQ application.
Candidates wishing to apply for a CSQ via the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ) should continue to submit their application by mail. Those who have a valid job offer or temporarily residing in Quebec may still submit a request via My Québec project (except between January 25 and February 17, 2016).
